Symptoms
Receipt Routing Movement and Disposition (P43250) calculates quantities differently between INSP, TRAN and STK and this leaves small quantities of 0.0001 in In Transit and In Inspection F41021 fields
Steps to replicate:
1. Set up Unit of Measure conversion 1 KG = 1.025645 EA. EA is set as Primary UoM for item 220.
2. Create a purchase order for 10 KG (Transaction UoM) of Item 220.
3. After receiving 10 KG in P4312 (activated receipt routing in which TRAN is the first step of the route), Item Availability details were as given below.
In Routing = 10.2565
In Transit = 10.2565
As per the UoM conversion, 10 * 1.025645 = 10.25645, after rounding to 4 decimals, qty becomes 10.2565 Hence In Transit (TRAN) gets updated with this rounded qty.
4. In P43250, move 10 KG of 220 from 1st step TRAN to 2nd step DOCK
