Symptoms

When a Sales Order is generated from Rental Management (P54R10 and R54R100), once the rental item is either ship conformed (P4205) or Sales Update (R42800) is processed, the system will decrement the on hand quantity. While the rental item is with the customer, Item Ledger As Of Record Generation (R41542) will update the Item ASOF table (F41112) without the quantity on rent even though the organization owns it.

The request is to add functionality to Sales Orders generated from Rental Management contracts such that on hand hand (F41021) or Item ASOF quantities (F41112) are not affected for company owned rental items. Below are possible outcomes:

1. Add functionality to Sales Update (R42800) wherein if the Sales Order is related to a contract, do not update on hand quantities.
2. When the Item ledger record is created for a Sales Order related to a Rental Contract, update the F4111.IPCD code to an X.  This will prevent the Item Ledger As Of Record Generation (R41542) from being affected.
