Custom business function steps fail due to invalid Data Dictionary (DD) input such as populating and passing a non numeric field to a numeric field such as AN8 - Address Number. JAS reports an error that AIS is failing to recognize and convert the DD Items into an orchestrator exception. However, the business function is never executed.

When the DD validation fails for one or more of the inputs, the custom step in the orchestration that calls the BSFN should return errors along with an error status instead of returning 'success'. Consume the errors and fail the step if there are DD validation errors.
