Symptoms

Configured item costing during sales update R42800

After getting code current and applying the new configurator enhancement bug 30984721 for enabling R42800 Sales Update & Product Cost Detail functionality for configured items the material A1 costs are being significantly understated when the configuration includes a manufactured component

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

To not understate the A1 Material costs of the configured sales order

STEPS:

  1. Create a configuration using both a purchased item and manufactured item
  2. Complete the manufactured item into stock
  3. Add a unconditional P rule with the purchased item and manufactured item
  4. Make sure the branch plant constants for the branch being used is set to use Product Cost Detail
  5. Enter a sales order
  6. Note the work order number
  7. Attach the parts list to the workorder
  8. Issue the parts and Complete the work order which updates the sales order
  9. Ship confirm and invoice the sales order
  10. Run sales update in proof
  11. Cost of goods sold (4220) does not include the manufactured component cost, only the cost of the purchased component
