Symptoms

Users and developers are able to checkout/checkin UDOs in a project at Status 38 (In Production).  We are looking for a way to restrict this so that UDOs always go through the Development cycle, promoted from DV to PY to PD.

Steps:

  1. In P98230, Transfer Activity Rules, verify there are no Transfer Activity Rules from Project Status 38 to Project Status 38 (In Production).
  2. In P98230, Allowed Actions, verify Allowed Actions for PVC Administrator (OMW User Role 06) is Object Type *ALL and Production Status *ALL.
  3. Create a Grid Format (e.g. Application P0013, P0013_GF).
  4. In P98220U, Approve/Share the Grid Format.
  5. In P98220W, Create a new OMW Project.
  6. In P98220W, Add the Grid Format from #3 to the new OMW Project.
  7. In P98220W, Change/verify the Project Member Role is PVC Administrator, Role 06.
  8. In P98220W, Advance the Project from 21 to 38 (In Production)
  9. In P98220W, Click to Check Out the Object = Check Out Successful
  10. In P98220U, Verify there are two records for the UDO Object; one at Status 08 (Shared) the other at Status 02 (Editing).

Comparatively, OMW (P98220) issues an error when trying to do a GET or Checkout of a project at Status 38.
