JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
A direct ship item exists with a line type = D where the item has weighted average cost (02). When the Direct Ship order is created, the cost is overridden. When Sales Update (R42800) is executed, new DMAAIs 4226/4228 for all cost methods are written.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Set up 2 items, one with 07 Standard Cost and 02 Average Cost (Item master P4101/Cost P4105). ) The 07 cost is in the example for comparison.
- Create a direct ship order for each item (P4210/ ZJDE005)
- Override the cost on both lines
- Ship Confirm (P4205) Direct Ship order
- Create invoice (R42565)
- Run Sales Update (R42800), do not summarize
- Review the R42800 and note the DMAAI 4228, zero balance was written for average cost.
