Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A direct ship item exists with a line type = D where the item has weighted average cost (02). When the Direct Ship order is created, the cost is overridden. When Sales Update (R42800) is executed, new DMAAIs 4226/4228 for all cost methods are written.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Set up 2 items, one with 07 Standard Cost and 02 Average Cost (Item master P4101/Cost P4105). ) The 07 cost is in the example for comparison.
  2. Create a direct ship order for each item (P4210/ ZJDE005)
  3. Override the cost on both lines
  4. Ship Confirm (P4205) Direct Ship order
  5. Create invoice (R42565)
  6. Run Sales Update (R42800), do not summarize
  7. Review the R42800 and note the DMAAI 4228, zero balance was written for average cost.
