Symptoms

Case Notes not saved if Media Object is opened/viewed first

If a user searches and Selects an existing case record through the application P17500, this will take the user to the revision application P90CG501 to revise the case data.
Once the user is in case Update/Revision form P90CG501, and if there is a Media attachment and it is opened and only viewed through Attachment Manager (only viewed and closed) and then the users adds additional Case Notes to the case, the newly added case notes are not saved when Clicking "Save Changes".

Steps:

  1.  P17500 Inquire on Existing Case which has a Media File Attach
  2.  Select Existing Case which will take you to the Case Update/P90CG501
  3.  Click Viewer to bring up Attachment Manager
  4.  Open the Media Attachment file to view the contents and close out of it
  5.  After closing, go to the Case and Type an additional New Text in the Issue Description (Case Notes)
  6.  Press “Save Changes”
  7.   Notice that the New input test disappeared and is not saved
