E1: 47: ASN Outbound Flat File Conversion (R47032C) and EDI Invoice Extraction Conversion (R47042C) to Write Flat Files to a Folder Specific to the Environment UBEs Are Submitted From (Doc ID 2835613.1)

Last updated on JUNE 29, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne EDI - Version XE and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In case a version of R47032C or R47042C is demoted from production environment to a test environment and several tests are made, the location where the flat files are read from/write to is inherited from production. During the testing of the versions it is possible that data to be processed from testing environment and create flat files with not real data in the folder used by production EDI. Thus, wrong data can be sent to the customers.

In order to prevent such kind of situation, it is required that the logic from  R47032C and R47042C to be changed in order to use separate folders for flat files, based on the environment they are submitted from. The new implementation may include an additional field in Processing Options data structure containing a string which during the UBE processing will be replaced with the name of the environment.
