E1: UBE: Data Selection And Sequencing Overrides Ignored In Tools Releases 9.2.6.x When UBE Batch Server Runs Multiple Pathcodes: PKG_ERROR_CODE value, 5 (Doc ID 2835922.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Scenario 1:

9.2.6.0, 9.2.6.1, 9.2.6.2

If you have an E1 batch server with multiple pathcodes and submit a batch job to the batch server for a pathcode that is not the default pathcode configured for the batch server, then:

  1. The metadata kernel attempts to create the UBE runtime cache for the batch job using the wrong pathcode, and this generates an error in the jde log file for the metadata kernel.
  2. The batch job runs to completion without any error for the batch job, but the batch job ignores all data selection or sequencing overrides specified by the user at submission time.

If the issue exists, the following errors appear in the jde log for the metadata kernel:

Scenario 2:

When the default environment (in the JDE.INI) is different from the environment in which a UBE is submitted, and the specs for the UBE aren't immediately prepped (which means that the idle processing in the Metadata Kernel uses the record in the F988259 table), the specs fail to be prepped. This happens with Report Interconnect long running jobs.

Changes

Scenario 1: This issue applies only in tools releases: 9.2.6.0, 9.2.6.1, 9.2.6.2.

Scenario 2: This issue applies in entire tools releases of 9.2.6.x version.
