E1: 34: Time Series Inventory Threshold Reporting Enhancement (P3413) (Doc ID 2835994.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 25, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Material Planning generates a negative ending available (=EA) in the time series planning file F3413 or V34UI003B business view, planners could use an alert report that would flag suspect items for further review and special handling to ensure no product or production shortages exist, after further inspection.

This request is that a batch or interactive job be created to query the F3413 time series file or the V34UI003B business view, by item and Quantity Type, such as qty type 90, description =EA, to be used to flag or list items that have a consistent and future dated period with negative ending available quantities, not explained by the item freeze fence days.

Certain MRP outcomes are enough to prove the existence or errors in the MRP algorithm and a report with that information can be generated to be used as a quick test after applying any patches on the code:

1) Negative adjusted ending inventory after freeze fence
2) Ending adjusted inventory greater than Multiple order quantity for any order policy code or greater than order policy value if order policy code is set to fixed order quantity (OPV 2)
3) Negative adjusted +WO or +PO quantity types
4) Ending adjusted inventory greater than Planned order quantity outside of freeze fence
