Symptoms
The scenario is a transfer order for an item with a stocking type U or O for a quantity of 10. Only 6 are available. When the order is accepted, the sales order ST shows 10 ordered, 6 shippable and 4 cancelled. The purchase order OT shows 10 coming in instead of 6. When the ST is ship confirmed for 6, the OT quantity is then adjusted to 6 coming in. This issue becomes relevant mainly for stocking type U or O: since the OT is created with the full quantity, then until the ST is shipped, the receiving warehouse is expecting the whole quantity. With a stocking type of S, the assumption is that the missing quantity will be procured at the sending warehouse and shipped; this action is not possible for the ¿use up¿ or obsolete stocking types of O and U.
The request is that for the obsolete stocking types (O and U) only, implement logic to update the OT order with the available quantity from the ST order, do not pass the quantity ordered value. The OT should be created with the same shippable quantity as the ST.
