E1: OMW: Checkout in OMW (P98220) Fails with Error: "OCI0000179 - Error - ORA-01536: space quota exceeded for tablespace <tablespace_name>" in Debug Log (Doc ID 2854563.1)

Symptoms

When trying to checkout objects using OMW (Object Management Workbench - P98220) in a fat client, user gets on-screen error messages about writing to the local specification tables for the corresponding object type and the debug log has OCI0000179 - Error - ORA-01536 error. For example, when checking out a report object, user gets the below on-screen error multiple times:

 


Please note that the issue can happen for any objects not just reports but the on-screen error message might vary based on the object type. For example: for applications, the error might mention JDESPECTYPE_FDASPEC instead of JDESPECTYPE_RDASPEC.
