E1: OCI: ESU: Unable to Install Software Updates on a One-Click Provisioned Deployment Server (Doc ID 2855792.1)

Symptoms

The following issues may be encountered while trying to install software updates on a One-Click Provisioned Deployment Server.

1. When trying to install the software update by running <software update name>.exe receive the following error:
System Error
The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140u.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

 

 

2. When trying to deploy the ESU using Change Assistant it will fail and the following is in the Change Assistant log:

 

3. Dependency Problem
The following Software Updates need to be installed prior to continuing with this installation: <esuname> or <asuname>
