Goal
The customer has a 3rd party software inserting records into the EDI Purchase Order Header - Inbound (F47011) and EDI Purchase Order Detail - Inbound (F47012). The customer is inserting a value in EDI - Document Number (EDOC) which is larger than 9 digits. The database for EDOC is defined as float. The EDOC data dictionary item is defined with a size of 9 numeric. Work with Inbound EDI Orders (P47010) does not find the record and the EDI report displays ******** characters.
Can the customer make a change to the Data Dictionary without causing any issues?
What other fields can be used for the EDI - Document Number?
