Symptoms
When creating a URL type task that has a URL address link that consist of encoded characters such as © and inserting it as an E1 menu, opening it through the menu using Internet Explorer as a client browser causes the characters get pre-decoded in the web browser.
The web page cannot open properly because of those characters decoded to invalid characters in Internet Explorer.
The decoded URL in Internet Explorer has invalid characters, and it fails to direct to the correct page:
