Last updated on JANUARY 02, 2024

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After selecting a Job Number using visual assist on a field in the parent form of the CafeOne layout, a pop pup error shows and it says ‘Invalid Application State’.   This issue occurs in Edge and Chrome browser only and does not occur in other browsers like IE or Firefox.

Looks like this is known issue (Bug 26969727) which is fixed in 9.2.2.5 tools release, but the issue reported in TR 9.2.4.4.

ERROR
-----------------------

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Create a new or open an existing find browse application
2. Create a CafeOne layout and link another fix inspect application to the parent application
3. Dynamically link one of the fields in parent form’s header. The linked field should have an UDC associated to it.
4. Now, save the CafeOne layout
5. Open visual assist on the linked field and select a value. This should trigger the child form to refresh.
6. At this time, we encounter the error pop-up message
7. If you don’t use the visual assist and manually enter the value in the linked field, this error doesn’t occur
