E1: 76C: Running General Ledger – COL – 09 (R76C0941) it’s Printing Asterisks for Totals of Debts and Credits if the Amounts Exceed the Max 16 Characters (Doc ID 2862320.1)

Symptoms

When running General Ledger – COL – 09 (R76C0941) with Colombia localization on and have Journal Entries Debts and Credits equaling over 99,999,999,999,999.99 it will print asterisks (****) instead of the totals.  If the amounts do not exceed the 16 character max then it prints the amounts.

Steps to duplicate:

1. P0092L – Turn Colombia localization on

2. Setup P0901 – Chart of Accounts using category code 22 for alternate account and code 13 for PUC level                              

3. Create journal entries to get to balances for 99,999,999,999,999.99                                                                      

4. Run R76C0941. See the TOTAL GENERAL/Debt and Credits with asterisks
