E1: 42W: Shipment Number (F4211.SHPN) Is Cleared Once Fulfillment Is Done Via Fulfillment Workbench (P4277701) or Auto Fulfillment (R4277701) (Doc ID 2864379.1)

When a transportation sales order is entered, the shipment number is created and the order enters fulfillment. Once fulfillment is entered via the Workbench (P4277701) or Auto-fulfillment (R4277701), the shipment number F4211.SHPN is cleared from sales order detail. However, the shipment still exists in the transportation file Shipment Detail (F4942). This occurs consistently when the respective line is partially or fully fulfilled.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Both Fulfillment Management and Transportation Modules are activated.
  2. P4210 Enter a transportation sales order (S4) and note that the Shipment Number is generated.
  3. P4277701 Fulfilled quantity filed is blank and unfulfilled quantity populated. 
  4. Run Auto Fulfillment report R4277701.
  5. P4277701 The fulfilled quantity is correctly updated for the line.
  6. P4210 Note the Shipment Number is cleared on the detail line.
  7. Check Shipment Detail (F4942) table. The Shipment Number is still there.
