E1: MOBJ: Downloaded File Name Does Not Include the File Extension When Using 'Right Click' and 'Download' From Attachment Manager (Doc ID 2865133.1)

Last updated on JULY 13, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When downloading attachments via Attachment Manager with useEnhancedMediaObjects=true and SupportActiveXIE=false, there is a discrepancy regarding whether or not the file extension (e.g. .pdf) is included in the downloaded file.

Steps:
1. Access an application which has records with file attachments (e.g. P01012).

2. Select a record which has an attachment (paper clip icon), then select Row > Attachment to access Attachment Manager

3. Confirm Attachment Manager shows files are attached. The Name column shows the file name appropriately with the appropriate extension (e.g. .pdf).

4. Right click on an attachment in the Attachment Manager and choose the download option.

5. It downloads the file (Downloads folder; Type = File) with the file extension missing (e.g. PDF Name is missing ".pdf"). The record in F00165 via UTB includes the file extension in the GDGTITNM field, but the GDGTFILENM value does NOT include the file extension.

6. However, if the attachment is selected and the Download icon is utilized ("Download selected attachments"), the file included in the .zip file includes the file extension.
