Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When an Item (Purchased or Manufactured) is set up as Line Type S in the Item Branch Record but used as a T (Text) line on a WO Parts List the WO Demand is displayed in P4021 decreasing the Quantity Available when it is not expected. The T Line Type on a WO Parts List is informational only and should not display in P4021 Supply and Demand Inquiry.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Set up an Item as Stocking Type S in the Item Branch Record.
2. In P48013 WO Entry enter a WO and add the item to the Parts List as Stocking Type T.
3. View the item in Supply and Demand Inquiry (P4021), note that the WO shows as Demand and Decreases the Quantity Available.
