E1: 39: Item Pool Valuation Maintenance (P3904) Revision to U/M (Unit of Measure) Field Not Saved Unless the User Accesses the G/L Category Field Prior to Changing U/M (Doc ID 2866410.1)

Symptoms

Work With Item Pool Valuation Maintenance does not immediately save an update to the Unit of Measure (UM) field unless the user tabs to the G/L Category code field and then the U/M field. If the user edits the record by updating the U/M field, without tabbing through the G/L Category field, the U/M value is not saved. 

When the Unit of Measure (U/M) field is updated for a record in Item Pool Valuation Maintenance (P3904), the value is not saved.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In Work with Item Pool Valuation Maintenance (P3904) use Add to create a new record.
  2. In the Item Pool Valuation Maintenance form, add a record. Do not populate the U/M field. Save the record.
  3. Inquire on the records in Work With Item Pool Maintenance (P3904). Select the newly created record.
  4. In Item Pool Valuation, populate the U/M value. Save the record. Note the U/M value is not populated.
  5. Select the record a second time, tab to the G/L category field then populate the U/M. Save the record.
  6. In Work with Item Pool Valuation Maintenance (P3904) note the U/M field value has been saved.
