E1: OVR: Users Cannot Run Existing One View Reports(OVR) or Create New OVRs with Error "Failed to save the report" On Screen and/or Error "Service instance quota has been exhausted" in E1root.log (Doc ID 2869088.1)

Symptoms


SYMPTOM 1:

When users try to run any One View Report (OVR), the interactive viewer is not launched. A progress bar appears on the top right area of the screen, stays in processing for few seconds and then disappears. The expected interactive viewer window is not displayed and OVR Report output cannot be seen by end users.

SYMPTOM 2:

While trying to add/edit a new report, after selecting columns from grid ,when a user clicks on the SAVE button and presses OK after giving report name, an error message "Failed to save the report" is displayed on screen instead of BI Publisher Layout Editor opening in a new window.

For both the scenarios described above, E1root log of the EnterpriseOne HTML server will show below message:

This issue can be replicated by following the steps below :

Issue while running the report:

  1. Login to web client.
  2. Type P03b2022 in fast path to open 'One View Customer Ledger Inquiry'.
  3. Press Find button to populate the grid with data.
  4. Click on 'OneView'
  5. From the list of reports that appear, click on any report (e.g. 'Customer Balance')
  6. Notice that progress bar appears on top right for few seconds and then disappears without launching the expected interactive viewer to display OVR report output.

Issue while saving the report:

  1. Login to web client and open any application with find browse form.(Type P01012 in fast path for example) 
  2. Define the sample data for the report by using a query or by entering values in the filter fields and QBE column headers of the find browse form.
  3. From the One View menu, select Create New Report.
  4. On the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne form, click any QBE column header with a plus (+) sign to add it to the data model for the report.
  5. On the Report Definition tab in the side panel, select a naming convention for the data model.
  6. Select a default row set option.
  7. Click Find to populate the grid.
  8. On the Report Definition tab, click the Save icon.
  9. Enter a name for the new report and then click OK.
  10. Notice the error "Failed to save the report"
