Symptoms

Customer is receiving commit fail errors in Ship Confirm (P4205), for transfer orders, both for Pick and Ship confirm processes. The issue started recently and is not consistent for all orders.  Many orders can be run through P4205 a second, third, or fourth time before the eventually are successful without errors. Customer has received security and business data and has not been able to identify a pattern. The issue is occurring across multiple data sets, but again is inconsistent for similar data.

ERROR

TRANSACTION ERROR

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In Transfer Order Entry (P4210) create a transfer order, ST/OT.
  2. Ship Confirm (P4205) the Transfer Order (ST).
  3. The Transaction Error message is displayed. The order cannot be ship confirmed.
