Symptoms
When the Manufacturing Constants (P3009) are set to Commit to Work Center Location, upon attaching the Parts List and Routing using Order Processing - R31410, the system will not use the Component Branch from the item's Bill of Material (F3002) if it is different from the header.
Steps
- Set the Manufacturing Constants (P3009) with Backflush Options field set to 2 = Committing to W/C Location.
- Access the Work Center record (P3006) and make sure the Location Branch is the same as the header Branch.
- Create a Manufactured item (P4101/P41026) in the Branch from step 1.
- Create a Bill of Material (P3002) using a component detail line from a different Branch Plant; make sure to enter a specific Operation Sequence.
- Create an Item Routing (P3003) using the Operation Sequence from step 4 and using the Work Center from step 2.
- Create a Manufacturing Work Order (P48013) for the item.
- Run Order Processing (R31410) over the Work Order to attach the Parts List and Routing.
- Inquire on the Parts List (P3111); notice that the system created the component detail line using the Branch from the Work Center setup rather than the Bill of Material.
