E1: 41: Recovering Accurate As Of Balance Forward Data (F41112) After Deleting Historical Item Ledger (F4111) Records (Doc ID 2881672.1)

Last updated on JUNE 07, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The client needs a way to correct cumulative beginning and ending balances for quantity and amount in the Item Ledger - Running Balance Summary (P41112) after having deleted historic Item Ledger (F4111) records without first having run As Of Processing to create Item Ledger As Of (F41112) records.

State of Inventory Data After Conversion from World to E1 9.2

  1. The client recently upgraded from World A9.3 to E1 9.2.
  2. The Item Ledger (F4111) file was very large on the JD Edwards World System andf it would take a huge amount of time to move all the records from World to E1.
  3. All the Item Ledger (F4111) records prior to 2017 were deleted from JD Edwards World System before attempting the conversion.
  4. As Of Processing was never run on the JD Edwards World System and so there were no As Of (F41112) records on World to convert to E1.
  5. Item As Of Processing (R41542) and As Of Updating (R41548) were run for 2020, 2021 and 2022 without having As Of (F41112) Balance Forward Records for years prior to 2020.
  6. After the conversion auditors discovered that cumulative beginning and ending balances for quantity and amount are incorrect in the Item Ledger - Running Balance Summary (P41112).
  7. Many items had ending balances that were negative in 2022 because there was no ending balances from prior years to carry forward and offset the negative monthly transaction totals.
  8. Is it possible to fix the 2022 As Of Running Balances so they show the correct beginning and ending balances in the Item Ledger - Running Balance Summary?
