E1: ORCH: Unicode Character Strings Are Not Inserted or Updated in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tables When Using a Database Connector in an Orchestration

An orchestration has been designed to insert or update data into one JD Edwards EnterpriseOne table. The orchestration is using a database connector to connect to the database and perform the insert/update transaction and works fine when fields in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne table are inserted with Latin characters for for fields defined as NCHAR, NVARCHAR (on SQL Server) or NVARCHAR2 (on Oracle Database). When the same orchestration is run to insert/update NCHAR, NVARCHAR (on SQL Server) or NVARCHAR2 (on Oracle Database) fields with Unicode character strings, the inserted/updated field contains only question marks characters (?).
If the same query containing Unicode character strings is executed from a query tool (e.g. SQL Server Management Studio for SQL Server or SQL Developer for Oracle Database), the NCHAR, NVARCHAR (on SQL Server) or NVARCHAR2 (on Oracle Database) fields will also show question marks characters (?).
If the same fields are inserted/updated from an Interactive/Batch Application, the character string inserted shows the correct characters.
