Symptoms

Why is box 1 on the U.S W-2 Year-End form blank when all other boxes are populated?

Steps To Duplicate:

  1. Verify All Year-End W-2 setup is complete,
  2. Build your Year-end Workfile (R078301) and make sure to include an Employee that is exempt from Federal Tax withholding,
  3. Print at least the Employee that is Exempt from Federal Tax Withholding and notice the W-2 creates, the box 1 Gross Taxable Amount is blank.
