Symptoms

When MRP R3482 or R3483 is run with processing options (performance tab) set to clear files, the planning table data is cleared including the user entered P3411 messages with held message type M Manual Message. For a business requirement to not clear M message types, are there additional instructions to ensure the 'M' message type is not automatically cleared/deleted?

STEPS
-----------------------

  1. From P3411 Add a message type M record and save changes.
  2. Run a full Regen version of R3482 MRP with clear tables.
  3. Reinquire and note that the 'M' message type as been deleted.or cleared and not re-planned.
