Goal
What is the functionality of the Split Lines (Y/N) flag (SPLP) in the Item Profile (P46010)?
The Item Help says "A code that indicates whether the system can split a purchase order line when you create a putaway suggestion for the order line" and in other documentation it explains it as "Designates if splitting an order into multiple putaway requests to multiple locations is allowed or not".
This does not make sense because at the point where the putaway suggestion is processed the purchase order line will be closed so there is no way a line could be split. Besides Purchase order lines typically do not get split even for partial receipts
