E1: 42: 46: R42118 - Back Order Release will Hard Commit Released Inventory and Update Sales Order with Location which Affects Warehouse Processing (Doc ID 2886194.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Warehouse Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When releasing sales order from back order using R42118 the UBE hard commits the quantity against the location that has the available inventory and populates that location on the order detail (F4211). The problem is that when after that a Warehouse Picking request is created it will use that location from the F4211 record as the picking location and bypass all Warehousing picking logic.

Steps to Duplicate:
1) P4210 Enter Sales order that goes on back order
2) P4114 Adjust inventory into secondary location
3) Run R42118 to release back order
4) Review Sales order detail
