E1: 42: Ship Confirm (P4205) Fails with Error on BSFN B4200200 GetF4201OrdrInfo Server Problem (Doc ID 2887300.1)

Customer recently created new environments, upgrading to tools release and Update 6 (UN6) applied.

When processing an order using P4205 the ship confirm fails with an error on the BSFN: GetF4201OrderInfo

object called B4200200.GetF4201OrdrInfo
Server problem. The server may still be available but because of state information the entire unit of work must be resubmitted.
Please exit the application and restart it.
BSFN failed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Inquire on an order in Ship Confirm (P4205)
  2. Select the order with option 1 to process the order.
  3. Click Ok to process. Form returns to Ship Confirm screen.  No errors are displayed.
  4. The order is not processed. The P4205 screen is closed.
  5. A review of the item location, F41021, shows the inventory balance for the item has been reduced.
  6. In Item Ledger/Cardex (P4111) no record was written for the transaction.
  7. Review of P42210, Work With F42210 Commitments Recovery, shows the record for the order.
  8. In P4210, inquire on the sales order. Note the order status did not update.


Customer built new environments in tools release with Update 6 for 9.2 applications.
