Symptoms
Exchange rate of OV record in XA ledger is populated based on GL date instead of Receipt date.
This happens when receipt date and GL date of purchase order receipt (P4312) are different.
Exchange rate of OV record in XA ledger should be populated based on Receipt Date instead of GL date.
Steps of the issue:
1.Detailed Currency Setup program (P11410)
2.Companies program (P0010)
Domestic Currency is AUD. Set 1 to detailed currency restatement.
3.Currency Exchange Rates program (P0015A)
Currency AUD to USD
Effective Date 2022/07/01, Exchange rate is 1.3350000
Effective Date 2022/07/04, Exchange rate is 1.3363624
Effective Date 2022/07/05, Exchange rate is 1.3394053
4.Ledger Type Rules Setup (P0025). XA ledger currency is USD.
5.Processing option of Detailed Currency Restatement Program (R11411)/ the named version. In Exchange Rate tab, set 1 (Exchange rate in effect on service/tax date).
6.R09801 named version. In Versions tab, set the above named version of R11411.
7.Create a purchase order (P4310).
Branch/Plant is 61010 (company 00610)
Order currency is AUD
Line type is J
Extended cost is 791.00 (AUD)
Account Number is 610.1469
Receipt Date is 2022/07/04. GL date are 2022/07/05.
8.Receive PO (P4312). Receipt Date is 2022/07/04. GL date are 2022/07/05.
9.Run R09801/RS to post OV.
OV journal entries are created in XA ledger (P09200).
Its Exchange Rate is 1.3394053. This is wrong.
In Exchange rate master,
Effective Date 2022/07/04, Exchange rate is 1.3363624.
Effective Date 2022/07/05, Exchange rate is 1.3394053.
As receipt date is 07/04, the Exchange Rate of OV in XA ledger should be 1.3363624.
