Symptoms

Requesting the ability to exclude any tax type using PDBA Setup – Tax Exemptions (P0591116/P05TAX) - with the State/Local W-2 form exit button (P07TEW) without getting the hard error "Tax Type out of Range". Currently the system limits you to the use of only certain tax types.  Request the option of using any Tax Type in order to enter desired Work Tax Area with the State/Local W-2 form exit button.

Steps:

1. Go to Work With PDBAs - P059116.

2. Select Pay type or DBA and take Row Exit to Tax Exemptions

3. Input Tax Type 01 = A and take Form Exit to State/Local W-2.

4. Encounter hard error "Tax Type out of Range".  Error ID 123I.  If you enter Tax Type = "F" and follow same procedure you will not encounter this error.
