Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The audit fields in the F069116 are not being updated when a change is made to any data field that is in the F069116 when saving the change on the Form exit screens but not doing a final save on the PDBA Setup – Basic DBA Info screen.  The audit fields are only updated if a final save is done on the PDBA Setup – Basic DBA Info screen.  If the Form exits are accessed from the PDBA Setup – Basic DBA Info screen, the user is returned to that screen after making a change.  But if the Form exits are accessed by right-clicking on the record on the PDBA Setup – Work With PDBAs screen, the user is not returned to the PDBA Setup – Basic DBA Info screen and therefore cannot do a final save to trigger the audit fields to update.

Steps to duplicate:

1. From P059116 Choose a DBA code.
2. Databrowse to F069116 and view audit fields – User ID and Date Updated.
3. The Co and Work Tax Area fields in DBA 1462 are the fields to be changed.
4. Add Home Company = 00050 and save in P059117 / W059117A
5. You are returned to the PDBA Setup – Basic DBA Information screen.
6. Click the red X to exit the screen.
7. Review the F069116, and notice the Co is updated, but not User ID and Date Updated.
8. Select the DBA again, take Form exit to the Advance DBA Info screen and enter a Tax Area (Work) value.  Save the record.
9. The F069116 Work Tax Area got updated, but not User ID, and Date Updated.
10. You are returned to the PDBA Setup – Basic DBA Information screen.  Click the green check mark to save the record.
11. Review the F069116.  Notice the Work Tax Area field was updated, and the User ID, and Date Updated fields were also updated.
12. if the Form exits are accessed by right-clicking on the record on the PDBA Setup – Work With PDBAs screen, the user is not returned to the PDBA Setup – Basic DBA Info screen and therefore cannot do a final save to trigger the audit fields to update.
