E1: 09/13: When Creating A Journal Entry (P0911), If User Changes The Subledger Field, The Asset Field Doesn't Update (Doc ID 2896835.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 19, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Capital Asset Management - Version 9.2 and later
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne General Ledger - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On the Journal Entry (P0911) application, enter a W Subledger Type and Work Order # Subledger, and tab down to the next row, the Asset number field auto-populates with the correct unit number. However, when the user re-enters back to the original row and changes the subledger work order number (e.g. wrong subledger number was entered by mistake) the application does not update the asset number field (unit number) to the correct corresponding unit number that is on that corrected work order.

Steps To Duplicate:
1. Enter P0911 Journal Entry application
2. On the debit line, input an account, and input a subledger type 'W' and work order number in the subledger field, and tab down. The correct unit number (asset) from the work order auto-populates the Asset number field.
3. On the debit line, change the subledger to a different work order number (that has a different unit number on it) and tab down, and see that the incorrect original asset number still remains in the Asset number field.
