Symptoms

While attempting to change the tools release component on Enterprise Server from Server Manager Management Console installed on WebSphere ND version 9.0.x :

"Unable to determine the application release when the selected component will change the bitness of the Enterprise Server. See Server Manager console logs for errors."

Also, in the SystemOut.log file the following error is reported:
