E1: ORCH: Report Definition Output from Report Service is Not Attached in the Email Sent from Message Request (Doc ID 2898885.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When there is report service, defined as Report Definition (RD) job, followed by a message service to send the RD output in the email, attachment delivery is not consistent.  The email received may not contain the attachment or it may contain a Missing Attachment.txt file. This issue usually happens when the RD job takes a while to produce the output (like lots of languages and multiple output types). This issue is observed even when Fire and Forget option is turned off in the report service.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Create an orchestration with a RD job as report service (fire and forget off) followed by a message request to send the RD output in email. Refer: Doc ID 2604733.1
  2. Make sure that the RD job takes a while to run by selecting lots of  languages and multiple output types in RD definition
  3. Run the orchestration and review the email received
