E1: 31: P48013 Work Order Entry Error Code 017E Insert Unsuccessful on Add or Save Header Record (Doc ID 2899735.1)

From P48013, add a new work order and click Save. System generates the error "Insert Unsuccessful", preventing any orders to be entered.

Insert Unsuccessful

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Fast Path to P48013
  2. Add work order
  3. Enter item and quantity and date
  4. Upon Save, the work order number field highlights in red and Insert Unsuccessful error 017E is generated.


Applied ESU JN18883 or later (ESU_JN18901_4/6/21) containing Implemented Enhancement Bug 32057629 -  INBOUND WO HEADER

Note: The ESU contains Special Instructions for 32057629

1. Read the Article 2554489.1 on MyOracle Support in detail and follow the instructions.
2. Ensure you have applied the necessary updates described in the article for both the Planner Update and Change Assistant.
3. Ensure you validate the *Alter has run successfully, for the below list of tables.
