E1: ORCH: ""Messages" Service Request in Orchestrator Does Not Include File Attachment in Email When Media Object Storage is on the File Server (JAS.INI StoreMedObjFilesInDB=false) (Doc ID 2902065.1)

Last updated on APRIL 28, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Orchestrator - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A simple orchestration with the Message Service Request is created to send an email that includes a Media Object file attachment.

However, when the email is received, the file attachment is missing in the email.

This issue occurs when Media Object files storage is on the file server (JAS.INI [OWWEB] StoreMedObjFilesInDB=false) and using the Classic Media Object Viewer (JAS.INI [OWWEB] useEnhancedMediaObjects=false)

When Media Object files storage is in the database (StoreMedObjFilesInDB=true) and using the Enhanced Media Object (useEnhancedMediaObjects=true), email is received with the file attachment included.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. In Orchestrator Studio, create a Message request with File Attachment
  2. Create an Orchestration for the Message Request
  3. Test run the Orchestration
  4. Email received but missing the attachment
