(Doc ID 2902073.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 12, 2022
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Advanced Pricing - Sales - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Currently EnterpriseOne Advanced Pricing does not provide ability to create a Buy One, Get One Price Adjustment so that a discount is applied to one item if a different item is purchased at the regular price.
The Free Good Adjustment in EnterpriseOne is the closest feature to this but it always ties Item B and Item A together in a pair.
- A Free Good Adjustment does not allow Item B and Item A to be entered as individual lines on the order.
- Also, a Free Good cannot have a percentage discount applied to its price. Either a specific amount is applied as the price OR the price is set to Zero and the good is free.
The company wants the ability to setup Buy One, Get One Advanced Pricing Adjustments in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
For example:
The company sells product A and B. If a customer buys 1 EA of B and 1 EA of A they want to give a -50% discount on item A.
Buy One Get One (BOGO) is a sales promotion offer made to either the retailer or the consumer in which purchase of one unit of the product is encouraged or rewarded by providing a second unit of the same product free of charge or for a substantial discount.
This type of pricing is very common in business and could benefit many Oracle/JD Edwards Customers.
