E1: 42: Sales Detail Time Stamp (F4211.TDAY) is Captured When OK Button Clicked Not When Database Change is Committed
(Doc ID 2903976.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 14, 2024
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When a Sales Order Line is changed or canceled, the time stamp on the sales detail record (F4211.TDAY) is earlier than the actual time that the change or cancellation occurred. This problem only occurs when the Process Tab Option #5 (Display Before Accept Prompt) is set to 1 (Prompt to display changes before accepting order) causing the time stamp to be recorded before the change is committed to the database.
The issue occurs because in 2011 the software was changed by Bug 13350827 - INCORRECT TDAY VALUE to capture the time of day (F4211.TDAY) when the OK button is clicked.
This has no effect on JD Edwards processing, but it does cause the orchestration that interfaces with the SalesForce.com to fail to update the SalesForce.com database with the order change or cancellation.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create a version of Sales Order Entry (P4210)
- Set Process Tab Option #5 (Display Before Accept Prompt) is set to 1 (Prompt to display changes before accepting order)
- Using the SO Entry (P4210) Version just created, find an existing Sales Order with multiple lines. Take the Row Exit to SO Detail.
- Select a line on the order and take the Cancel Line Row Exit at 11:37.
- The line is canceled at 11:37
- Click the Green Checkmark (OK) at 11:37. The time of day (F4211.TDAY) is captured when the OK button is clicked.
- The Order Acceptance screen appears at 11:37, but DO NOT click the "Place Order" button yet.
- Wait 8 minutes and at 11:45 click the Place Order button to Finalize the order and update the SO Detail Record (F4211) including the Time of Day (TDAY) field.
- Go into the databrowser and find the Sales Detail (F4211) records and the Time of Day (TDAY) Field. The field is updated at 11:37, which is 8 minutes BEFORE the “Place Order” Button was used complete the order.
