Symptoms
When payroll includes a negative pay type, the gross wages calculate correctly but the Tax Details are adding not subtracting the negative pay type causing an out-of-balance condition.
Steps To Duplicate:
- Create a negative pay type with the gross (-) net (-) in the (P059116)
- To see the out-of-balance easily, create an interim payment (P07210i) for the following:
- Regular Pay 1 for 40 hrs for gross amt of 1,200
- Negative Pay 975 for 1 hr for a lump sum of $300
- Click purple calculator and it shows gross correctly as $1,200- $300 for a total of $900
- Click Form Exit and go to Tax Detail and notice that the gross wages throughout show $1,200 + $300 = $1,500
- Notice the out of balance condition issue causes. This causes a balance error.
