E1: 41: Default Row Security as Checked for Data Dictionary Items KCO (Document Company) and KCOO (Order Company / Order Number) (Doc ID 2916197.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 16, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The customer has multicompany setup in JDEdwards. They want to secure visibility of transactions, and data per company. The Data Dictionary item CO (Company) Row Security option checked by default. In the tables they want to secure, F4111 (Item Ledger) and F00092(Supplemental Data) only data item KCO (Document Company) is in the table. Data item KCO does not have Row Security enabled.  The customer has also reviewed data dictionary item KCOO (Order Company / Order Number). This item does not have the Row Security checkbox active either.

The customer already investigated Business Unit MCU security but in their case where there are multiple business units the maintenance of security settings is more challenging. Also, for Supplemental Data they want to keep item data rather than company not business unit. Company security is more natural in their case.
