E1: KER: Enterprise Server Kernels Start Up Having Issues After Tools Release Upgrade with Error 'OCI0000367 - Unable to connect to Oracle ORA-24415: Missing or null username' (Doc ID 2917362.1)

After tools release update, when starting up services kernel jde.log have database connectivity errors. However when logging in through a direct SQLPLUS session on database the login is successful.

For example the below errors are found in the metadata kernel


1. Login into the server manager console

2. From 'Management Dashboard'  navigate to the page of the enteprise server

3. Click on the Start button

4. Check the kernel jde.log present in the <install directory>/jdedwardsppack/e920_1/log folder on the enterprise server


The tools release of the server was recently updated.
