E1: 13: A Specific Unit Number Is Not Being Returned To The Grid On The P12120 Meter Readings (Doc ID 2920651.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 12, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Capital Asset Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When searching for a unit number via the 'Skip To Unit Number' (alias ASID) field on the P12120 (Meter Readings) and this unit number is also used as a Serial Number on a different asset, then the P12120 returns the other asset to the P12120 grid, not the expected Unit Number.

Steps To Duplicate:
1. On Equipment Constants (P001012) set Unit Number as Primary.
2. Input two P1701 / P1702 Equipment records with the following info, notice how the 15017 is the same serial number and unit number.:
   Asset = 123, Unit = 860024, Serial = 15017
   Asset = 456, Unit = 15017, Serial = 15GGD2714F1186376
3.  On P12120 (Meter Readings) in the 'Skip to Unit Number' (alias ASID) field, input 15017, and press find.
4.  See how Asset Number 123, not Asset number 456 is returned, therefore, the expected unit number 15017 is not returned, unit number 860024 is returned.
