E1: OCI: JAS : Receiving HTTP Error 401, When Attempting Health Check on IDCS-Enabled JDE HTML Servers via Direct URL Access (Doc ID 2920743.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 16, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to access direct E1 HTML URL of Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) - enabled OCI JAS instances to perform health check, an HTTP Error 401 is encountered.

This issue occurs despite successful login to IDCS AppGateway and connection to the backend JDE. The IDCS load balancer URL is directing traffic to the OCI JAS load balancer URL, which in turn directs traffic to the backend JAS instances.

However, after enabling IDCS in the JAS.INI of each JAS instance, attempting to access the direct server URL results in an HTTP Error 401 as shown in the screen shot below:

Changes

Enable IDCS Authentication on OCI JAS instance.
