E1: ENH: Allow FORMEXTNS to Override Grid Column Properties for Display Style (Doc ID 2922734.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 23, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Enhancement request to allow Form Extension (FORMEXTNS) to override the Grid Column Properties for Display Style in FDA.

An example is Data Dictionary Alias BUDONLY (Budget Only).

In the Work With Bids application (P44H601|W44H601A). the Display Style in FDA for BUDONLY is Check Box.

In the Option Cost Detail application (P44H601|W44H601C) the Display Style in FDA for BUDONLY is Default.

The option to select the display style (such as checkbox, radio button, flag, default) of data dictionary items/fields at the form extension level would eliminate the requirement to only use the value set at the design level. This
functionality would provide more flexibility as to how values are displayed for users.
