There is a parent license plate containing more child license plates. These have different Warehouse Process groups setup. When a putaway suggestion was created the system picked a location for the process group different than the process group set to the parent.

Steps to replicate:

  1. There is a LP pallet(parent) which has a number of children for different items.
  2. In the License Plate Additional Data section from Workbench, the License Plate process Grp1 is populated from the setup of child LP. The children have different process Grp1 values ( e.g. 3FLIQ , 9NH ).
  3. In the License Plate Revisions for pallet(parent), also the Container Process Grp1 (e.g. 3FLIQ) is set. The pallet(parent) should be treated using this process group.
  4. Create a putaway request and afterward generate a Putaway suggestion R46171. The system suggested an empty random location, as per setup.
  5. Check the location in Location master P4100, Location profile. Notice that Characteristic Group is 9NH as from a child LP, not from the parent LP.  The Putaway process incorrect suggested a location for a different process group that it is set to LP parent.
