E1: 17: P90CG501 Case Append Text Entry Saves Text But Not Text Formatting

Symptoms
On P17500 (Case Entry) then P90CG501 (Text Entry), press Append Text to add text to the case, and make formatting changes (e.g. add color to the text and make the text bold). Press Save. Text is maintained, but the formatting is lost.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter P17500 (Case Entry)
2. Enter the Text Box (P90CG501) and press the "Append Text" hyperlink.
3. Enter text and format the text, color, bold etc. and press save
4. On P90CG501 see the text remains, but the formatting is lost.
