Symptoms

Need to be able to calculate FLSA OT on Benefits that are required under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) rules on certain Allowances and Bonus payments. Please use the following link to the government commerce site that explains how the calculation should be done:

Example Calculation:

Reg Hourly Rate 42.00
Reg Hours 40.00
Gross Pay 1,680.00

OT Hourly Rate 63.00
OT Hours 10.00
Gross Pay 630.00

Total Gross Pay 2310.00
Total Hours 50.00

Bonus Payment 500.00
Total Gross Pay with Bonus 2810.00

Average Hourly Rate 56.20
Less Hourly Rate 14.2 (56.20-42.00)
OT Hours 10

Less Hourly Rate X OT = FLSA OT Rate 142.00
FLSA OT Rate X .5 Due 71.00

Total Gross with Bonus & FLSA OT 2,881.00
